On Friday, reports surfaced that ABC is exploring a Muppet Show revival, setting the Muppet Theatre stage for a primetime return of slapstick sketches, musical numbers and flying fishBig Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady is set to pen the script, along with 3rd Rock From the Sun writer Bob Kushell, which could be previewed for advertisers at upfronts in May, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
The television experience and entertainment consumption as whole has vastly changed since The Muppet Show first aired in 1976.
