Why millennials job hop: It’s the economy, stupid

Throughout our internship careers, we eight full-time, recently graduated Mashable winter interns (#winterniscoming) have interned with various companies an average of 15 months per person — an average of seven of which were full time and eight of which were unpaid


These self-reported numbers, while far from scientific and in no way fully representative of the entire generation of people born in the 1980s and 1990s, do underscore the far-reaching consequences of a financial recession, unprecedented levels of college debt and rise of internships on millennials.
