Three children die after car plunges into Australian lake

Three children have died after a car veered off a road and plunged into a lake in Melbourne, Australia.

A woman was driving the vehicle with four young children inside, when it crashed into the water at Wyndham Vale on Wednesday afternoon, according to Victoria Police. It is unknown if the woman is the mother of the children, who are all believed to be under six years old.

One child was declared dead at the scene, while another died being transported to hospital and the third died in hospital.
