A big bogan statue may be the pride and joy of a country town in Australia if the mayor has his way.
The town of Nyngan, in the Bogan Shire, wants to play up to its namesake and erect a Big Bogan on the Bogan River, the Daily Liberal reported. The plan to build the 3.6-metre, rusted-iron bogan complete with Stubbie shorts, a mullet and a fishing line could be a tourist drawcard for the New South Wales town of less than 3,000 residents.
