Parents of youngest Boston bombing victim don't want death penalty for Tsarnaev

The family of the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombing has asked for the death penalty to be dropped in the sentencing of convicted bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev


Bill and Denise Richard, the parents of 8-year-old Martin Richard who was killed in the attack, penned an open letter that was featured in the Boston Globe two days after the second anniversary of their son's death.



Although the Richards did not mention Tsarnaev by name, they commended prosecutors for ensuring his conviction, and asked that the death penalty not be considered in his sentencing. Read more...
