Anti-equality Indiana pizza joint gets seriously trolled, shuts up shop

You may or may not have considered catering your wedding with a pie from Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana. In any case, you won't be able to do so in the immediate future.


Kevin and Crystal O'Connor, owners of the small-town pizza joint, told reporters he's shuttering the business for now, thanks to a widespread backlash against an interview on a local ABC newscast. On camera, the pair said they agree with the state's controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and would definitely refuse to make pizzas for a gay wedding


For an encore, Kevin O'Connor declared he had made "a choice to be heterosexual," and implied that he shouldn't have to cater to those who'd made the opposite "choice." Read more...
