After scathing report, Rolling Stone's UVA rape story is far from resolved

What do you have to do to get fired from Rolling Stone?


That was the question repeated over and over again in the journalism industry on Monday. On Sunday, the Columbia Journalism School released a damning report on Rolling Stone's blockbuster story, "A Rape on Campus," about the sexual assault of a student named Jackie at the University of Virginia



The magazine asked Columbia to lead a review of the method behind the story, and in a nearly 13,000-word report and an hour-long press conference this week, the journalism school's leaders called Sabrina Rubin Erdely's story a "journalistic failure that was avoidable." Read more...
