Christmas is cancelled.
Fire officials told the Orange County Register the blaze took about 30 minutes to extinguish, with no injuries reported.
According to the newspaper, the tree was worth $120,00 and was covered in some 200,000 colored lights. It was placed in the hotel plaza in the hotel plaza in October.
