A fistfight between three biker gangs escalated to the use of chains, clubs, knives, and then guns, police said.
Nine people were killed Sunday during a shootout inside a Waco, Texas, restaurant after a fight among several biker gangs turned deadly, officials said.

Police Sergeant W. Patrick Swanton said in a news conference that eight people had been killed in the fighting, while another person died in hospital. Several other were injured in the "chaotic" scenes.

He said at least 12 police officers, as well as SWAT teams, were on the scene prior to the fighting because they anticipated violence.
